I’m excited to announce that The Type Directors Club has asked me to talk icons. In November I’ll lead a workshop called Icons: Study & Design. In it we’ll cover theory and practice. I’ll cover the current landscape of icons and apply lessons from typeface design to explore what it is to make cohesive sets and icons that communicate.
I’m honored to have been invited to teach this workshop. Type and icon design share a strong connection, and this is a great platform for highlighting that relationship. “With over 60 years of history, the Type Directors Club is the leading international organization whose purpose is to support excellence in typography, both in print and on screen.”
The workshop is Friday, November 14th, in New York City. Get more info here.
